Successful premiere for the voestalpine HTL Challenge
On October 19, 2023, the voestalpine HTL Challenge took place for the first time at the Linz site, organized by the voestalpine Steel Division in cooperation with voestalpine group-IT. Students from Upper Austrian technical schools specializing in engineering or IT competed against each other in teams in various challenges.

Business Run Vienna 2023

Ski excursion Schladming
After we weren´t able to have a ski trip for two years due to corona, this year we were able to do it again. The destination of our ski weekend was for the second time the Sporthotel Royer in Schladming.

Safely productive: "FTA2.0"
At voestalpine Stahl GmbH, the "production technical elaboration" (in German FTA) – i.e. the addition of production-relevant information to a customer order – is carried out automatically for each customer order item. In the process, individual customer specifications are taken into account and production is optimized. After many years of operation, the FTA contains the accumulated knowledge of production specifications and now repeatedly reaches system limits.

one step ahead: SAP S/4HANA in Steel Division
On November 21, 2022, the Steel Division's productive SAP ERP systems were successfully converted to the current product version SAP S/4HANA. The road to this point was certainly not an easy one: 16,000 user-defined code objects, 90 developers and 500 test cases. Nevertheless, the team from voestalpine group-IT and the Steel Division's specialist departments mastered this considerable challenge with flying colors.

The successful cooperation between voestalpine and Johannes Kepler University was celebrated in person again after a longer break due to the pandemic. On April 26, 2022, business informatics students visited voestalpine group-IT.

Opening of the new office space in Vienna.
On April 13, 2023, the new office space on the 2nd floor of the Gasometer in Vienna was finally opened by the two managing directors of voestalpine group-IT GmbH - Markus Grabner and Rainer Jagoutz.

Markus Grabner: Commercial Managing Director
Markus Grabner has been Commercial Managing Director of voestalpine group-IT GmbH since 01.07.2022. His focus is on finance, human resources, quality and process management, and business partner management. Markus Grabner likes to spend his free time with his daughters, playing sports and in the great outdoors.

Rainer Jagoutz is Technical Managing Director at voestalpine group-IT GmbH since July 01, 2013. His focus lies on managing the service-providing areas in the company and is responsible for operational cybersecurity.

Gerald Stepan has been Managing Director of voestalpine group-IT in the EMEA region with locations in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden since mid-2022. He has been working in the group for more than 15 years in various responsibilities and divisions.

Martin Oberhauser: Managing Director voestalpine group-IT Brazil
Martin Oberhauser is Managing Director of voestalpine group-IT in Brazil since 2006. After completing his studies in Innsbruck, he gained international professional experience in Spain and Australia, among other places. In the meantime, the native Tyrolean has been living and working in Sumaré for more than 15 years. Martin Oberhauser devotes his free time to his family and to outdoor sports.
