In the meantime, I have been part of the group for 22 years and have been taken on more and more over the course of time. I started at Buderus Edelstahl GmbH, then at Intesy and today I am a system engineer in the Non Corporate IT Services / Special Computing Solutions area in voestalpine group-IT.
In my job, I mainly take care of the setup, documentation and maintenance of server systems. In addition, I install and configure special software according to customer requirements. Troubleshooting problems, handling tickets in the server environment and responding to published security risks are also part of my job. Due to the long time in the company I was allowed to introduce some new systems. voestalpine group-IT is a good employer, capable of finding fair solutions for employees even in times of crisis. I really appreciate that about the company.
What I like most about my job is the good cooperation and cohesion in our team. We support each other and stand by each other when problems arise. The annual meeting with all my colleagues is always one of my highlights. It's a great opportunity to get to know those in person who you otherwise only see via video conference.
For me, it is important to have a job that I enjoy and that I can support my family with. I don't want to wake up in the morning with an "oh no" moment, I want to enjoy going to work. And that is the case with my job at group-IT.
