At the age of 16 I started my apprenticeship as an application developer at voestalpine group-IT. Before that I was a student at the HTL in Neufelden. However, I realized very quickly that I wanted to do something else. So, I decided to enter the working world and applied at group-IT.
I felt comfortable right from the start and enough time was taken for my onboarding. Everything was explained to me well and I was able to get started with my apprenticeship.
The many training sessions were particularly helpful in my further development, not only to better understand my work, but also the company as a whole.
My tip for all new apprentices: Don't be afraid to ask questions! You are still at the very beginning of your apprenticeship, and it is okay not to know everything. Don't be afraid and talk to your colleagues about things you don't know/understand very well yet!
What I also particularly like about the company is that the canteen is not expensive. And with the Vivo discounts and vouchers, I can save super as an apprentice.
With these benefits, I can be successful in the long term in my future, among other things. Because I also define success for me with financial stability.
I'm already looking forward to the further apprenticeship years and exciting tasks.
