I have been with group-IT since my apprenticeship days. Back then, I was referred to group-IT through an application for an apprenticeship on the voestalpine site. In September 2007, I started my apprenticeship as an IT technician and was subsequently taken on. Although the position was not advertised at the time, I applied and was accepted. I chose group-IT because the company has a good image and offers a secure job. It was really a good feeling to have made this decision.
As an apprentice, I mainly dealt with server orders, working with SAP, replacing hard drives and laying cables. After my apprenticeship, I then worked at the service desk and had a lot of customer contact there, including with international customers. Later I moved to the 2nd level for authorizations within the service desk and finally ended up in the RPA team which is located at CSE (xECM). Through a workshop, my interest in the RPA program was piqued. I pre-registered and was eventually able to move to a department where I could work with this program. The fact that I can work and program as an RPA developer today is really great for me.
What I like most about my job is the developing and programming. The work is extensive and always offers new challenges that I enjoy mastering. The flexibility I have through flextime and home office really suits me, since I have a child. The parking spaces right "outside the office door", the canteen and Caseli stores as well as the employee profit-sharing scheme are also great benefits. I was also able to improve my English skills through courses and telephone contact with international customers at group-IT. I also learned to work effectively in a team and to use programming languages correctly.
For me, group-IT is a company that values the individual and is committed to creating a relaxed environment in which everyone feels comfortable. What I appreciate most about my colleagues and my team is that we always support each other, even outside of work.
