I have been part of voestalpine group-IT since October 2012. I became aware of group-IT back then when I applied via the voestalpine job portal. I started as a Technical Application Manager (TAM) and then worked in the TPI project in the migration and interfaces (MUSI) sub-project. Later, I was a sub-project manager for PLO (Production Logistics) and finally a project manager in the PROMES project (PPS Tandem Nonstop Replacement).
In my job as project manager I am responsible for the solution implementation to design the new MES-Steel (Manufacturing Execution System). The goal is to replace the existing MES system (PPS-Tandem Nonstop) and to implement the specific needs of our customers. I particularly enjoy designing new systems and processes.
For me, success means achieving the goals presented together with my team. It is about meeting quality and deadlines to always ensure high customer satisfaction while designing a maintainable solution.
From my work, I particularly remember the successful implementation of the new slab logistics for blast furnace lining, the value integration in the TPI project of the legacy system PPS-Tandem Nonstop via divisional ME data shift and the first roll-out successes in the PROMES project.
At group-IT, I also appreciate the various benefits such as employee participation and the opportunity to eat in the canteen. The team spirit is simply great, even across company boundaries. Everyone pulls together, regardless of whether they are internal participants or external partners.
