Beginning on 1 July 2024, the exhibition area of voestalpine Stahlwelt will be closed for roughly one and a half years for comprehensive renovation. The event area will continue to operate with limited restrictions, and the popular production facility tours on the plant premises in Linz will continue as before during the renovation period.

Modifications in the steelmaking plant will also require relocation of the existing pneumatic dispatch system tubes and the installation of new ones.

The Austrian steel and technology Group supplies high-quality steel to Mercedes-Benz AG, using scrap metal from the company. Starting in 2027, they will also deliver CO₂-reduced steel from the electric arc furnaces in Linz and Donawitz.
