Austria's Young Talent in the Field of Research

The 148 best upcoming physicists from the 4th-grade classes of 33 different secondary schools from all of Upper Austria have their knowledge of physics tested at the Mini Physics Olympics.

The mathematics problems to be solved were challenging to the participants, who had to complete their answers within the two-hour period.

Tired from heavy concentration, the participants afterwards had the opportunity to enjoy a fine meal. Maguel the Magician performed a series of magic tricks so the youth had a way to spend their time before the awards ceremony began.

Awards ceremony

At 2:00 o'clock p.m., the young enthusiasts went back into the event room. The Olympic winners were announced.

1st place with a total of 53 points:

  • Jan Aigner (BG/BRG Wels)

Tied for 2nd place with a total of 49 points:

  • Zarie Ademi (BRG Linz)
  • Jakob Koch (RG and ORG Franziskanerinnen Wels)
