Cheered on to a win
The 23rd Mini-Math Olympics took place on 18 March 2014 in the voestalpine Stahlwelt. This time it wasn't only the young geniuses in Linz who were scratching their heads. This year for the first time, the students who stayed at home also had a chance to win.
In an Instagram contest, the fan picture with the most likes was the winner. The prize for the entire winning class was free entrance to the voestalpine Stahlwelt, including a small lunch.
The winners were class 4E of the Dachsberg school. They claimed their prize on 5 June 2014 together with their math and chemistry teacher Paul Ecker.
After an exciting tour through the voestalpine production facilities at the Linz site and a tour of the voestalpine Stahlwelt, the boys and girls had the chance to think about the things they had seen while eating a small lunch. The morning was rounded off with a small voestalpine gift.
