Brass players from Linz at the Klangwolke 2014
On 6 September, the visualized Klangwolke 2014 takes place under the motto 'The Danube lives!' In line with this motto, the Danube is both subject matter and stage. Taking place in Linz on the shore of the river that has a length of 3,000 km and connects 10 countries, the spectacle will again entertain some 100,000 visitors.
The essential part of the event are musicians and bands from different regions along the reaches of the Danube that meet on the water. Arriving on staged ships, they play their melodies, before coalescing for a waltz. A European landscape orchestra is formed, and the fireworks light up the sky over Linz. 'The Danube lives!'—This night marks the festival’s start.
The brass orchestra of voestalpine Stahl GmbH in Linz will represent Austria and entertain the visitors at this great festival.
