Award for the voestalpine Steel Division

The voestalpine Steel Division was awarded the seal of quality for workplace health promotion on 6 February. This seal of quality is awarded to companies who have met the EU criteria for or have been very creative in the area of workplace health promotion.

The first steps were taken twenty years ago in the direction of workplace health promotion at the company-owned Linz site. The integration of health topics in apprenticeship training and education and a successful project to stress safety, decrease the number of accidents and eliminate drinking at work are examples of only a couple of effective programs.

Another milestone was passed when the Group-wide LIFE program was introduced in 2001. This program serves to create an attractive workplace for all generations and both genders.

The voestalpine Steel Division is proud to be awarded the seal of quality and will do everything it can to be deserving of it in the future.
