voestalpine Steel Division largest employer for young people who want to get a taste of the working world

Countless summer jobs for Upper Austria's youth provide them an opportunity to get their feet wet. The voestalpine Steel Division is number one among the top three summer job providers.

At the Linz site alone, 1,100 young people work during the vacation months. 800 of them are so-called works students who lend their services in shift operation. The rest of the youth spend their working hours in offices.

Second and third place among the employers are, with a total of 500 youth workers, are BMW Motorenwerk in Steyr and the Upper Austrian provincial government.
