A tower for Texas
The construction of our HBI plant is in full swing in Texas. Assembly of the port and dock for unloading of the ore and shipping the HBI has progressed to an advanced stage. Construction of the 136-meter-high steel structure for the reduction furnace has also commenced. This is where the hot-briquetted iron (HBI) will be produced. Workers will be building the tower step by step over the next few months. As soon as the structure is completed, the reduction furnace will be lifted onto the tower. It is the core component of the HBI plant.
The lane of travel for the ships in port has also been deepened, and currently the quay wall is being prepared for the pouring of the concrete.
