On 8 October 2014, the Steel Division and the Metal Forming Division invited employees to participate in a joint Know-How and Innovation Day at Magna Steyr in the Thorndorf works near Graz. With more than 100 participants from the fields of technology and purchasing, the event was very popular at Magna.
voestalpine presented the most recent developments in the areas of ultralights, tailored products, isovac® and plastic-metal hybrids. The visitors showed a great deal of interest in the four theme islands and a number of different exhibits as well as the four technical presentations on the topics of phs-ultraform®, corrender, AHSS and AHSS HD and roll-forming.
On top of all this, there was something special to celebrate: The two companies, voestalpine and Magna, have been working together closely and successfully as partners for a total of 25 years!
