Rapideep welding process is an innovative welding process based on a highly concentrated arc, resulting in a consistent heat input reduction, higher precision, easier control, deeper penetration as well as less risk of undercuts. It allows to significantly increase the welding speed with a direct impact on cost saving (higher productivity, less welding time). Rapideeep can be optionally installed in the Böhler Welding high technology equipment Uranos & Terra.
QuickPulse is the alter-ego of Rapideep in the ‘Pulsed’ world. Quickpulse welding process offers the benefits of the concentrated arc with the greater stability provided by the pulsed arc for the best penetration at low heat input and high welding speed. QuickPulse can be optionally installed in the Böhler Welding high technology equipment Uranos.
The perfect combination of the ECOspark® filler metal with the Böhler Welding TERRA & URANOS welding equipment further enhances the excellent ECOspark® wire properties in terms of arc stability, perfect wire feedability, and a wide parameter window, resulting in:
As such, the excellent properties of ECOspark® wires takes further benefit when coupled with the Böhler welding processes Rapideep and QuickPulse, resulting in:
When it comes to the high amperages in butt-welds, the combination ECOspark® & Rapideep/QuickPulse also allows to set longer stick-out and consequently narrow the bevel, further improving the productivity.
Take a look to this heavy duty fillet weld application performed with ECOspark® 460 d. 1.2 mm and QuickPulse , at high amperage, hence with high wire speed so ideal for robotic and automation. A perfect fillet weld without undercut and a very flat profile was obtained. The throat dimension was 7 mm with high penetration in one single pass. Deposition rate was 8 kg/h, resulting in + 30% productivity increase thanks to this Full Welding Solution in comparison with conventional spray-mode using coppered wires.
