460% longer tool service life
Duplex-VARIANTIC®-1400 masters the high tensile strengths of ultra-high strength steels in a unique way. In comparison to other coating products, the innovative PVD coating increases the tool service life by up to 460% and significantly reduces wear. The quality of the workpiece is also increased during forming, punching and cutting because of the special structure of the coating and very good adhesion to the substrate. We recommend Caldie, a medium-alloyed tool steel made by Uddeholm.
Our high-ductility steels higher than 1,000 MPa combine high strength with good formability. They make it possible to cold-form high-strength components of demanding complexity. The innovative coating for the forming tools further increases production efficiency.
