The next world novelty in the field of hot forming for press-hardened steels is on its way to the customer. Construction work is progressing smoothly on the world's first phs-directform® line in the voestalpine works of Schwäbisch Gmünd.

The new voestalpine works for the world novelty in the field of hot forming is currently being built in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Production capacity was completed in August of 2015, and the first cooling station has already been ordered. Product introduction to the market has been in full swing since November 2015. Production of the world's first phs-directform® line is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2016, and it is already possible to witness the high performance of the line. Small-series parts can already be produced on an adapted phs-directform® production line. Production sites on all continents guarantee worldwide access to phs-directform®. The ambitious goal is to install ten new direct lines over the next five years.
