Shutdown in summer 2023

No talk of a quiet summer - summer shutdown is when things really get going for some of our colleagues! Even on hot days: Performance in Wire.

This summer, we are once again carrying out overhaul activities at our voestalpine Wire Technology sites. While part of the workforce goes on a well-deserved summer vacation, our colleagues are working during the plant shutdown to be able to carry out the necessary maintenance and servicing work on the units. 

We wish good luck for the auditing activities and a nice summer vacation to all customers, suppliers and company partners!

Here you can find out everything about our downtimes:

voestalpine Wire Rod Austria GmbH

voestalpine Wire Rod Austria GmbH Summer Shutdown

Shutdown at the St.Peter/Freienstein site:

  • July 28, 2023 to August 15, 2023, inclusive - shipping is available 

Shutdown at the Fürstenfeld site:

  • July 27, 2023 to August 15, 2023

Shutdown at the Bruck an der Mur site:

  • July 31, 2023 up to and including August 15, 2023

Despite the shutdown, there will be a shipping option for our customers in week 31 after prior notification. Please contact your contact person at our company and inform us in time if you want to make use of this possibility. In week 32, no shipping is possible until 16.08.2023 (6:00 am).

Other voestalpine Wire Technology locations - no shutdown

There will be no shutdown at the sites of voestalpine Wire Germany (Finsterwalde), voestalpine Wire Italy (Nervesa della Battaglia) and voestalpine Wire Suzhou (Suzhou, China).
