voestalpine Wire Technology's international sales teams from eight different countries came together in Donawitz this year to discuss important future topics such as sustainability, diversification, and innovation, and to highlight sales best practices together.
The "voice of the customer" was represented by Patrick Lexer, VP Purchasing Direct Material from customer Bulten Fasteners AB. With exclusive insights, the voestalpine Wire Technology Sales Manager team was given the opportunity to take the view of our customers and, among other things, to illuminate the topic of sustainability from a different perspective.
For the path to a green future, voestalpine has developed an ambitious and feasible step-by-step plan with greentec steel. The participants of the Sales Conference had the opportunity to get a "deep dive" into greentec steel projects at the Donawitz site. A tour of the two test facilities SuSteel & Hyfor was part of the program during a plant tour.
Michael Köck, Managing Director of voestalpine Stahl Donawitz GmbH, took the Sales Experts of voestalpine Wire Technology on an exciting journey through the greentec steel step-by-step plan of the Donawitz site. Matthew Galler, R&D expert at voestalpine Wire Technology, complemented the focus on sustainability with concrete research results from the greentec steel area.
Breakout sessions offered the more than forty participants a good opportunity to work out ways to further improve cooperation between the international voestalpine Wire Technology locations - all with the aim of further bundling performance in wire competences.

Highlighting success stories together was another agenda item on the Sales Conference 2023 list. 16 best practices presentations from the areas of sales, business development, application engineering and R&D gave attendees the opportunity to present, celebrate and discuss shared successes.
Another external keynote presentation by Othmar Schwarz, partner at Simon-Kucher & Partners GmbH, offered the participants exciting insights and practical assistance on the extensive topic of pricing.
