ahss high-ductility dual-phase and complex-phase steels are the benchmark in ultra-high-strength steels for crash-relevant components. With their unique bending properties and outstanding deep-drawing characteristics, ahss high-ductility steels provide a time-tested alternative to press-hardening steels. The original steels of specific components were compared in the SLIMulations with possible ahss high-ductility steels and crash tests simulated. The comparison is based on a 5-star-safety mid-size car (source: NCAP).
