Performance test at Crailoo increases TU Delft Team’s chances of winning SpaceX Hyperloop Speed Competition
Imagine: travelling from Amsterdam to Paris in less than 30 minutes. If it’s up to the Hyperloop team from the TU Delft, this should be possible within a few decades. A transport vehicle moving through a sealed vacuum tube will bring you to your destination with speeds of up to a thousand kilometres an hour. Before joining the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition in California, the team is going to test its vehicle at our company premises named Crailoo.

SCOOP: Milling 49E1 rails for Lightrail is now possible!
Since February (2019), our stationary milling machine has been extended with a new milling wheel. This means that we can now also mill 49E1 rail profiles symmetrically. The extension has facilitated the production of preventively milled rails for the light rail sector.

New NSE point machine and manganese steel frog improve track performance
Earlier this year, ProRail released two new products: the point machine type NSE (S) and the 1:15 manganese steel frog. These products significantly reduce the number of malfunctions while decreasing the required turn-out maintenance; an important contribution to the realisation of a well performing railway network.
