Our history
It was in 1946, that Paul BAP created the company Profilafroid, encouraged by the trust and underwriting of about fifty coachbuilders, his customers, who were also his friends.
A modest factory was acquired - or rather what remained after the liberation struggles.
The production of the first cold rolled steel bars started with three machines on 1000 square meters on one hectare of land.
Located in the department of Oise, in Bailleul sur Thérain 60 kilometers from Paris, the site was pleasant, in the valley of Thérain dominated by the Mont-César, not far from the remains of the Abbey of Froidmont where the young king , who was to become Saint-Louis, spent his holidays and went to the cathedral of Beauvais by boat on the then navigable Thérain.
The intuition of its creator inspired him the choice of a happy name ''Profilafroid'' became a common name for a cold formed steel product today used in most industries.
