voestalpine Nortrak's new Spring Wing Controller now available

voestalpine Nortrak is pleased to announce that the new Spring Wing Controller is now available as an option on our Welded Spring Manganese (WSM) frog turnouts, and as a standalone item for field retrofit.

The revolutionary design suppresses the internal pressure gradients normally experienced upon initial wheel contact, and allows for serviceable components and adjustable closure rates.

On track, this equates to a service life that is an order of magnitude longer than conventional spring frog retarders. This allows the Spring Wing Controller to keep a spring frog operating reliably for years.
