Satisfied faces, interesting conversations, numerous visitors: That is how the days at CWIEME 2019 can be summarized for voestalpine. Once again, Berlin was the meeting point from 21 to 23 May for electrical experts who wanted to learn about the most recent innovations in the industry.
The Coil Winding trade fair (CWIEME) is the leading international exhibition and conference for coil windings, insulation and electrical manufacturing. Under the motto of Electrify Tomorrow, voestalpine presented isovac® product innovations, primarily in the growing electromobility sector.
As Europe's leading producer of electrical steel strip, the Steel Division presented the highly efficient isovac® electrical steel. Another highlight was a lecture given by Dr. Ronald Fluch. It was called "Backlack in a Minute" and was met with a great deal of interest.
Focus on electric mobility
This year too, the trade fair focused on the topic of electromobility. With its innovative range of products and technical expertise, voestalpine proved that it is in a leading position to help structure this development. As an innovator in electromobility and sponsor of the increasingly popular Formula E, voestalpine has underlined this.
A special highlight was the voestalpine Formula E GEN 2 racing car that was parked in the entrance area of the fair and attracted attention from many visitors. Another highlight was a robot that drew portraits of the visitors.
"Austrian Night” evening event
The "Austrian Night” was an opportunity for employees to spend a wonderful evening together with the customers. Maximilian Günther, a former Formula 1 driver and currently a Formula E race car driver, also spent the evening at the voestalpine stand. Caseli again provided a great culinary experience and a DJ for musical accompaniment. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, numerous positive discussions were held and new contacts made.
Winners of the isovac® Formula E-Racing Package competition
We were happy to award a prize to two winners of the isovac® Formula E-Racing Package competition. They spent an exciting weekend at the races in Berlin. Please visit the photo gallery to see the pictures.
