Satisfied faces, interesting conversations with existing and new customers, numerous visitors and a robot that printed 3D logos in cocktails—this is one way that CWIEME 2018 can be summarized for voestalpine. Once again, Berlin was the meeting point from 19 to 21 June for electrical experts who wanted to learn about the most recent innovations in their industry.

For more than 6700 guests and 750 exhibitors, the coil winding exhibition (CWIEME) is the leading international exhibition and conference for coil windings, insulation and electrical manufacturing. Under the heading of “Electrify Tomorrow,” voestalpine presented isovac® product innovations, primarily in the growing electromobility sector.

A further highlight was a presentation given by Kurt Satzinger on approaches to optimized material utilization in times of shortages in electrical steel.

3D logos in cocktails—printed by a robot

No one knows what the future really has in store, but the visitors to the exhibition stand were presented a small but very impressive foretaste. Cocktails were printed by a robot with fine, green-colored droplets in three-dimensional motifs ranging from the Eiffel Tower to the isovac® logo (of course). The choices and excitement knew no bounds.

Enjoyable company and professional DJ at the Austrian Night

In addition to the cocktail-printing robots, the event would never have been such a great success without the Austrian Night and its tasty delicacies from the Land of the Alps. This time the music was provided by a professional DJ.

New and exciting fair stand

The customers and visitors all agreed: The new voestalpine exhibition stand was highly convincing and drew large numbers with its innovative and open design. Many appointments with customers were kept and new contacts established in a friendly and modern atmosphere.

The exhibition team and the participating voestalpine companies are very happy to look back at a successful trade fair and are already looking forward to CWIEME 2019.
