Successful recertifications focusing on environmental and energy management at voestalpine Wire Rod Austria and voestalpine Wire Austria

Great joy at the Wire Technology business unit sites in St. Peter/Freienstein and Bruck an der Mur.

 

After passing the automotive quality audits in March, successful recertifications for standards in the area of environmental and energy management were achieved at the end of April.

In total, the Bruck, St. Peter Freienstein and Fürstenfeld sites receive 12 new certificates.

Environmental and energy management is of great importance to the Wire Technology business unit as it helps to map our environmental protection efforts in a structured way and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

With our effective environmental and energy management, we achieve our sustainability goals, reduce costs, secure competitive advantages and achieve the trust of our customers.

    By implementing ISO 50001, companies can improve their energy efficiency, lower their energy costs and reduce their environmental impact.

  • EMAS stands for "Eco-Management and Audit Scheme" and is a voluntary environmental management system that helps companies in Europe to improve their environmental performance and reduce their environmental impact.

    EMAS is a program supported by the European Union and provides a framework for companies to improve their environmental performance and reduce their environmental impact.

    Companies that apply EMAS must regularly prepare and publish environmental reports that disclose their environmental performance and document their progress in implementing environmental protection measures.
