With our motto "One step ahead", we are constantly striving to offer improved qualities, to penetrate new segments and develop innovative products. With this in mind the construction of the new CC4 continuous casting plant started in 2019. This plant will be responsible for homologating new premium grades in particular, thereby opening up a new level of quality for our wire production.
The new Bloom CC4 continuous casting plant, the mainstay of steel production in Donawitz, is currently the most up-to-date system of its kind in the world and fully meets the standards of Industry 4.0. It combines globally unique state-of-the-art plant and process technology, helping us further increase quality while producing steel grades for the most demanding end products.
We also source our primary material from Donawitz and can thus guarantee the best qualities and material properties along the entire production chain – from the billet to the finished wire product.
We successfully commissioned the plant in the summer and are pleased to report that we are already in a very positive test phase.
