In the fall, the "Apprentice Meet & Greet" took place in Donawitz for the first time. Here, apprentices had the opportunity to get to know each other and the management in a relaxed atmosphere.
Have breakfast together in a relaxed atmosphere, experience the world of wire from the Wire Technology business unit, and get a first-hand feel for Performance in Wire based on the four corporate values ( Quality, Sustainability, Flexibility, Innovation).
These were the key points of the apprentices' first Meet & Greet with the management.
After a mutual round of introductions - during which no questions remained unanswered - the world of wire was then also illuminated in detail and comprehensively presented.
From the most diverse wire applications, to the international production sites of the Wire Technology business unit, to the integrated value chain and the resulting customer benefits, no questions from the young audience remained unanswered. The managing directors thus generated enthusiasm among the 20 or so apprentices from the voestalpine Wire Rod Austria and voestalpine Wire Austria sites.
Afterwards, the apprentices had to put what they had learned to the test. The tricky questions in the subsequent apprentice quiz could only be solved if the explanations of the managing directors were followed attentively.
The prize was definitely worth the effort, as the five first-place winners won a great prize: "Become a managing director for a day.
