The 5-km circuit, which was extended this year, led the athletes from the main square to the Murinsel. There, the infamous E-Werk hill had to be conquered. Once this was completed, the participants returned to Bruck's old town. New this year: Nordic walking enthusiasts also got their money's worth and were able to take part in a separate classification for the business run in Bruck an der Mur.
The great thing about the event is that the focus here is not on winning, but on having fun with exercise and the team spirit. The shared experience has welded our PERFORMANCE IN WIRE team together and shown us how important cohesion and support are. Our participation underlines our commitment to the health and well-being of our employees - in line with our motto "echt gesund".
The voestalpine Wire Technology participants took part in 15 running and 6 Nordic walking teams. The employees from Bruck an der Mur and St. Peter/Freienstein were also supported by some colleagues from the Metal Engineering Division. Overall, the PERFORMANCE IN WIRE team achieved very impressive results. The fastest men's time was achieved by Karl Ebner, an employee of voestalpine Wire Austria, with 18:50.8 (Rank 46). The fastest woman was student employee Selina Stockreiter with 21:43.5 (Rank 8).
The voestalpine Wire Technology participants celebrated their great achievements at the subsequent award ceremony and at the after-race party on Bruck's main square.
