From July 23 - 24, Kaindorf near Hartberg was once again dedicated to cycling. With around 1,000 participants from Austria and neighboring countries, the UltraRadChallenge is one of the largest and most popular cycling events in Austria.
The total of 14 colleagues motivated by Martin Schuh from voestalpine Wire Austria GmbH started in the 24-hour UltraRadChallenge competiton in three teams, consisting of two teams with four racers and a team of six racers.
This 24-hour competition is the "royal discipline" of the cycling event. As a team the participants had to cycle 24 hours non-stop in order to cope with the circuit of approx. 18 kilometers and 185 meters of altitude as often as possible.
Motivation, perseverance and team spirit helped the participants in the 24-hour UltraRadChallenge to perform well. At the end, one thing was clear to every participant: “We'll be back next year”.
