UTP Robotic - Premium seamless metal-cored wires for wear protection

23 May 2024 |

As industry leaders, we take pride in our position at the forefront of surface protection technology. Our brand philosophy centers around offering the best solutions to our customers, empowering them to achieve the highest levels of protectivity. UTP Robotic series provide high-end solutions for surface protection designed to match the needs of robotic welding applications.

UTP ROBOTIC wires are seamless, copper-coated, cored wires for wear protection of components subject to combinations of pressure, impact and abrasion. These wires can be used in all welding positions. UTP ROBOTIC wires have excellent characteristics for robotic welding applications. They perform equally well in manual or semi-automatic GMAW used for in-situ repair of worn components.

Product features User benefits

Seamless copper-coated cored wire

  • Excellent, smooth wire feeding
  • Reduced contact tip wear
  • Resistant to moisture and rust formation

Controlled wire cast & helix

  • Limited “dog tailing” at contact tip, promoting well positioned beads

Wider window of applicable welding parameters than solid wires

  • Significantly higher deposition rates
  • Welding productivity
  • Easy setting of parameters for manual and mechanized processes
  • Smooth, spatter-free spray arc welding

Weldable in all welding positions

  • One wire for all hardfacing jobs, regardless position

Total product performance from above features

  • Reliable and productive welding consumables for automated / robotic welding

UTP ROBOTIC series contain a complete range of alloys with different weld metal characteristics.  From soft or work-hardenable overlays up to extreme weld deposit hardness, for applications at room temperature up to 550°C, UTP ROBOTIC series covers a wide application field to match your expectations.

No matters if you are designing a high-performance hot work tool by additive manufacturing or if you just want to re-build broken teeth of a shredder, UTP ROBOTIC wires are the perfect choice for those looking for unmatched reliable quality and simple to use welding wire.
