Manufactured with precision and innovation in Italy, voestalpine Böhler Welding's diamondspark seamless wire technology offers increased productivity and excellent mechanical properties for ammonia tank welding while meeting the special requirments for resistance to stress corrosion cracking. When combined wiht the railRunner system, a welding carriage that enables the mechanization of the welding process, it is possible to weld root pass, fill, and cap layers in fully mechanized process.

Among the benefits are productivity compared to manual welding with stick electrodes, and less welding consumables. The railRunner is easy to handle and extremely intuitive, making it easy for welders and enigneers to integrate it into their daly welding work for tank fabrication. voestalpine Böhler Welding can provide on-site support from a team of experts to help set up the system and further imprve parameter settings to increase productivity.

The collaboration between Linde Engineering and voestalpine Böhler Welding is an example of the power of positive teamwork. The welding tests for the tanks were carried out in India together with a global team of experts from voestalpine Böhler Welding and Linde Engineering. The qualification tests for the welding wires together with the railRunner are currently ongoing at the Böhler Application Technology Center (ATC) in India.
