The new leather/FR welding jacket and trousers, for example, offer excellent protection against heat, flames and welding sparks. They are designed for maximum comfort and safety: collar, front, sleeves and shoulders of the jacket and front of the trousers are made of durable cow split leather, while the less stressed areas are made of FR cotton to reduce weight and provide breathability. The use of aramid fibre yarn completes the safety aspect by adding chemical and high heat resistance to the seams.
The split leather apron provides protection from the chest to mid-calf, adjustable straps at the back and neck with buckle closure complete the comfort.
The aluminum handshield is worn over a welding glove and provides additional protection by perfectly reflecting heat radiation.
The FR balaclava is inherently flame retardant and is worn under a welding helmet to provide full protection to the neck.
