UTP ROBOTIC CHROMELESS 600 is a newly designed metal core wire for all parts subject to pressure, impact and abrasion wear. Designed to reduce the risk of hexavalent chromium by removing the hazardous agent at source: No addition of chromium and nickel in its formulation, guaranteeing a safer workplace for welders and non-welders, and ensuring the most stringent requirements of the European Exposure Occupational Limits are met.
It is a new concept of metal cored wire designed to reduce Cr (VI) emissions in the welding fume and to provide a product that meets the highest health and safety standards, while at the same time increasing the life of the repaired part, thanks to its new metallurgical concept.
Health and safety at work are inextricably linked. Substitution at the source by eliminating Cr and Ni in the chemical composition of the flux cored wire - UTP ROBOTIC CHROMELESS 600 - with a significant reduction of Cr (VI) in the welding fume, is a tangible solution in this direction: improving safety during welding operations, improving the health condition of welders and non-welders.
It is well known that Cr (VI) is highly toxic and can damage the eyes, skin, nose and throat and cause various types of cancer. On the other hand, chromium is an essential element to achieve higher abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and hardness on the weld deposit.
This means that in most applications, chromium is a fundamental and irreplaceable element. However, where medium requirements for abrasion and impact resistance are needed, UTP ROBOTIC CHROMELESS 600 is a reliable alternative to conventional welding consumables with high chromium content, which can even reduce wear loss by up to four times.
