What is Geothermal energy?

Geothermal energy is the use of the earth's heat to generate electricity and heat energy. It is one of the most important renewable energy sources on our planet.

Geothermal energy requires pipes and grades similar to those used for gas and oil production. Also, the drilling scheme is comparable, whereby voestalpine Tubulars can contribute its long-term know-how in this segment and has the competence to develop further technologies.
