On March 16, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the start of construction of the bioenergie district heating project in Kindberg took place on our plant premises.
After the successful signing of the contract on December 10, 2021, the groundbreaking marked the start of construction of the district heating project for the municipality of Kindberg.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held by Gerald Gfrerer, Technical Managing Director of voestalpine Tubulars, Project Manager Helfried Wernigg and Bioenergie Managing Director Jakob Edler. Provincial Councilor Ursula Lackner and Kindberg Mayor Christian Sander also took part in this festive occasion.
In the near future, this project will make it possible to use around 4 MW of our waste heat for the municipality and save up to 3,400 t of CO2.
