DON'T WORRY, BEE HAPPY: WE ARE HELPING THE BEES!
Did you know that approximately one third of the food we eat depends on the existence of bees? We wanted to help these busy little insects and came up with a very special idea: Land that could otherwise be used for commercial and industrial purposes has been converted into new habitats for bees and other insects.

A lot is happening at our production site in Linz, including a tremendous amount of humming and buzzing around the colorful meadows full of flowers: Thousands of bees and other insects are enjoying their new and carefree life in an innovative ecosystem.
FROM BEEHIVE TO INSECT HOTEL
Our commitment goes even further. All the beehives here are set up and managed by employees who are hobby beekeepers. The insects make their homes in the insect hotels built by a non-profit organization called Institut Hartheim. On hot summer days, the fields of flowers are irrigated using water that is collected from on-site wells, thus achieving a low water footprint.
We generously give space to mother nature and give back to her all that we can. The colorful meadows are a comfortable home for the insects and a beautiful sight to behold for every busy-as-a-bee employee at voestalpine.
