Copper Alloys

C17200 Beryllium Copper (BeCu), also known as Copper Beryllium or Alloy 25, is a high-performance alloy with 0.5 – 3% beryllium.  It stands out for its exceptional combination of high strength, non-magnetic, and non-sparking properties.

Renowned for its superior metalworking, forming, non-galling and machining characteristics, BeCu maintains high strength without compromising without sacrificing thermal or electrical conductivity – making it ideal for demanding applications in harsh environments.

With unparalleled strength, thermal & electrical conductivity, ductility, corrosion resistance, machinability, and low friction properties, C17200 BeCu is a top choice for a wide range of uses within the oil and gas industry. Common applications include downhole directional tools such as MWD/LWD housings, drill bit bearings, subsea actuator stems, connectors/contacts, and assisted lift pumps.
