The rail steel grade 400GHT® is a fine pearlitic rail grade. It is produced by combining an innovative material design with the application of the HSH® heat treatment technology. The 400GHT® leads to the longest service life while gauge corner repair welding is no longer necessary.
The 400GHT® is highly recommanded by voestalpine for curves in grooved rail tracks below R = 150 m. The highest resistance against wear and corrugation prolongs rail service life and minimizes rail maintenance and thus leads to a technical and economical optimization of the entire light rail track.
