voestalpine Signaling UK Ltd. (former Signaling Fareham Ltd.) is part of the voestalpine Railway Systems Group, the world-market leader in railway systems and supports railways with a world leading range of diagnostic and monitoring technologies for infrastructure, to enable condition-based maintenance and prevent asset failures.

Since 1998 the company has focused exclusively on rail, designing robust intelligent hardware which capture and analyze performance related data in the most challenging environments to identify deteriorating asset condition. Maintenance can be proactively scheduled, avoiding service disruption and maximizing track availability.

  • More than 20 years of experience in the area of fixed asset monitoring
    1988: Founded as control & display systems, providing SCADA systems for industrial applications

    1994: Introduction of Event Monitoring Systems for Relay interlockings in the UK

    1998: New trading name 'CDSRail' reflecting strategic focus on the Rail industry

    2000: First UK approved Switch Condition Monitoring solution

    2001: Development of Atlas Data acquistion platform - designedspecifically for the rail environment

    2003: Introduction of Track Circuit Monitoring

    2004: Installation of first systems in export Markets, with continued growth in the following years

    2008: Acuisition by voestalpine as the competence centre for Fixed Infrastructure Monitoring (FIAM)

    2009: Awarded Framework contract with Network Rail for supply of monitoring equipment to the Intelligent Infrastructure (II) programme

    2010: New solution for monitoring AC track circuits introduced

    2012: Received Queens Award for innovation

    2013: Substantial growth in export sales and continued development of new monitoring applications

    2014: Renamed 'voestalpine SIGNALING Fareham Ltd.' after the creation of the voestalpine SIGNALING group

    2020: Bundling of all voestalpine competencies related to railway infrastructure in the new business division "Railway Systems" - voestalpine Signaling as part of the voestalpine Railway Systems Group. Renaming to ‚voestalpine Signaling UK Ltd.‘
