InnoTrans 2024: Explore Systems Performance on Track®

2 October 2024 |

InnoTrans, the world's leading trade fair for transport technology, returned to Berlin for its 14th edition under the theme "The Future of Mobility." As a key player in the industry, voestalpine Railway Systems showcased its cutting-edge innovations, capturing the attention of customers and industry experts alike with its digital solutions.

Explore Systems Performance on Track®

At the heart of InnoTrans 2024, voestalpine Railway Systems took the spotlight with a 900 m², two-story booth. The exhibition featured the latest advancements in intelligent turnout and rail systems, marking the dawn of a new era in rail transportation. Beyond traditional high-performance turnout and rail solutions, voestalpine Railway Systems emphasized intelligent signaling technologies that integrate seamlessly with modern interlocking systems, such as EULYNX. These innovations provide new levels of safety and efficiency for railway traffic management, with live demonstrations showcasing their real-world impact on optimizing operations.

The Future of Railway Technology: zentrak

Visitors were immersed in virtual reality user journeys, exploring the future of railway infrastructure through "zentrak," the company’s digital hub for asset and maintenance management, diagnostics and monitoring for both infrastructure and rolling stock. The zentrak platform provided an in-depth look at how real-time data monitoring and intelligent diagnostics can revolutionize the rail industry, improving operational efficiency and enhancing system reliability.

Sustainability at the Core

voestalpine Railway Systems is committed to driving sustainability in the rail industry. At the InnoTrans booth, attendees could learn about the company’s environmentally friendly materials, innovative lifecycle tools, and circular economy strategies—all designed to create a more sustainable future for rail infrastructure.

High-Profile Guests and Thought Leadership

The booth also hosted several high-profile speakers. Günter Neureiter, CEO of voestalpine Railway Systems, joined notable figures such as Philipp Nagl, Chairman of DB InfraGO, Andreas Matthä, CEO of ÖBB, and Briony Briskey, responsible for railway renewals at Rio Tinto, to discuss the future of rail innovation.

Additionally, Jochen Holzfeind, CTO/COO Fixations Systems at voestalpine Railway Systems, unveiled the 4th edition of the "Railway Infrastructure Handbook" alongside co-authors Jia Liu and Ferdinand Pospischil, further cementing voestalpine Railway Systems' thought leadership in the industry.
