wisconstrip wood bandsaw steel is melted in small, customized heats to ensure the requisite cleanliness and special chemistry demanded by the critical heavy-duty sawing applications for which it is designed. Processing characteristics such as machinability, blankability, weldability and response to industion heat treating are enhanced by heat-treating parameters defined uniquely for a given material grade. Performance characteristics such as fatigue life and wear resistance are improved through customized, machined edges and applications-designed material microstructure.
