Metsec has received further recognition of its excellence in the design, manufacture and supply of cold roll-formed building components with the award of Supplier of the Year 2011 from one of the country’s foremost construction companies, Willmott Dixon.
The annual awards are presented on a regional basis, following rigorous assessment of supplier performance across a wide range of criteria, including service, quality and reliability. The final decision is the result of qualitative and quantitative reports from key office and site based personnel at Willmott Dixon. Metsec’s accolade was bestowed by the contractor’s Cobham region, which covers the South-East of England.
Commenting on the award, Neil Mant, supply chain manager at Willmott Dixon’s Cobham office, states, “Willmott Dixon prides itself on achieving exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction and this relies not only on our own performance, but also that of our selected suppliers. There can be no room for complacency and Metsec epitomises this spirit in all areas. The referees for this year’s award were particularly impressed with Metsec’s ability to engage at the pre-construction phases, understand the requirements of the project and devise value-engineered solutions to meet these needs.”
The award was presented to Ryan Simmonds, technical sales manager of Metsec’s framing division during a national awards ceremony at Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands, Surrey. A delighted Ryan commented, “It is always nice to have your efforts rewarded, especially by such a pre-eminent contractor as Willmott Dixon. This award is particularly pleasing as it reinforces Metsec’s belief that the design and build team should consult with us at the earliest opportunity.
