November 28, 2016 | The best of business in the Black Country was celebrated on Friday at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce awards at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
Sponsored by voestalpine Metsec plc, the UK’s largest specialist cold roll-forming company who are based in Oldbury, the awards give recognition to the organisations striving to represent the region and contribute towards the local economy.
Award categories included Best New Business, Community Champion, an Innovation and Technology award and Exporter of the Year. More than 450 business leaders from across the region attended the black tie event at the racecourse to celebrate local success and network with other Black Country-based organisations.
Adrian Wright, President of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, said: “I would like to congratulate all our winners and thank the many more businesses who have taken part in the awards this year. We have some fantastic businesses in the Black Country and we need to help to raise the profile of the great work they do. Celebrating local success stories at an evening like this highlights the strength of the region.
