Working with the Local Community
Metsec is currently working with Bristnall Hall Academy to offer a range of projects for the pupils at the academy to gain a good understanding of the career prospects there are in Engineering and Apprenticeships at Metsec. These include:
- Year 11 Aspirations day (includes pupils talking to apprentices and employers to show what can be achieved through a career in Engineering)
- Year 10 students Work experience (1 week structured placement at Metsec in a job role)
- Year 9 students Work visit pre-options (Visit to Metsec to see what is manufactured and understand the diversity of job roles on offer)
- Year 9 students Taster days (pupils experience a day in the life of an apprentice in the Metsec Apprentice Workshop)
- Year 8 students Careers Day (Metsec attend Bristnall to offer careers advice)
