All Metsec products for use in construction are CE marked under the Construction Products Regulation, with our processes certified up to EXC4, the highest available. So whatever you specify or install, we can deliver the required standards.
Continuing to lead the way for lightweight galvanised steel building systems, voestalpine Metsec plc was one of the first companies to incorporate CE marking on its products in accordance with part one of BS EN 1090, the new harmonised European standard for the ‘Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures’.
Part 1 covers the manufacturing and, where appropriate, structural design characteristics of structural steel components for use in the construction industry and provides four classes of accreditation.
In keeping with its leading position within the industry, following assessments of its manufacturing systems by SCCS (The Steel Construction Certification Scheme), Metsec products are accredited to Class 4, the highest possible attainment within BS EN 1090–1.
This accreditation provides the industry with absolute assurance on the use of Metsec purlins, Metframe, SFS and accessories in the construction of anything from a warehouse to a power station.
