All employee shares and thus their voting rights are bundled in the voestalpine Employee Participation. This makes the employee shareholding a stable core shareholder.
The employee participation scheme and the foundation give employees voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and a seat on our Supervisory Board. This can make “hostile” takeovers considerably more difficult, for example. In addition, employee participation supports the long-term and sustainable development of the Group.
The private foundation is financed by a portion of the percentage wage increase and an employer contribution. Employees are allocated shares on an ongoing basis in line with this volume.
