We are pleased to announce that voestalpine Additive Manufacturing Centers (vAMC) in Canada and US are the first ever in North America to be certified by DNV for the Oil & Gas Industry with the DNV-ST-B203 industry standard. vAMC’s certification meets rigorous quality and integrity equipment standards for the manufacture of printed metallic parts.
DNV is an internationally-accredited registrar and classification society based in Høvik, Norway. The new DNV-ST-B203 standard is designed to support and encourage energy industries to adopt Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology and ensure products, assets, and systems across the AM value chain are safe and efficient. This will help energy industries gain cost savings, efficiencies, and built-in safety measures.

Dear Customer or Supplier,
Since April 1st, 2018, Bohler and Uddeholm products have been represented by individual sales channels focused solely on the sales of those individual products through either an EDRO sales representative for Bohler products or an Uddeholm sales representative for Uddeholm products. The decision to have both brands represented in the marketplace was taken to bring an added level of focus and expertise to our branded products. This enables a greater focus on providing advanced solutions for our customers’ special steel demands. Also, for multi-national customers, this brand alignment provides a consistent experience across borders with regard to product specification and fulfillment as it aligns us with our international sister companies.
Additionally, as of April 1st, 2018 Bohler-Uddeholm Corporation changed its name to voestalpine High Performance Metals Corporation This change reflects the ownership structure of the company which has been in place since 2007 when voestalpine AG acquired Bohler-Uddeholm AG and again aligns the United States globally with each of our sister companies. voestalpine AG owns many global brands such as Bohler, Uddeholm, eifeler and ASSAB.
You should also note that eifeler Coatings Technology will be rebranded as voestalpine eifeler Coatings over the coming months.
We understand that there has been quite a lot of change, but we wish to assure you that our focus on you our customer has never wavered. Our mission is to provide additional access to expertise and to a wider product range that can benefit the industries we serve. Where possible we will be working to streamline administrative processes. Please forward this communication to whomever in your company you feel should be made aware of these changes.
We thank you for being our business partner and for your patience during this transitional period. We look forward to working with you as we start this new chapter in our company’s history.
Best regards,
Ricardo Fioramonte
