voestalpine focuses on diversity to drive progress

voestalpine has always promoted diversity and equality. For World Cultural Diversity Day on May 21, the steel and technology Group will clearly demonstrate its commitment to diversity in terms of nationality, religion, and culture: 82 different nationalities are working together at the voestalpine sites in Austria alone.

Diversity at voestalpine in figures

The Group employs almost 50,200 people worldwide. Around 45% of the workforce, comprising 82 different nationalities, is employed at sites in Austria. The average age of male employees at voestalpine is 41.9 years, and of female employees 40.2 years. The traditionally low percentage of women has been continuously increased over the past years. Today, 14 percent of voestalpine managers are women, while amongst younger professionals this figure is around 17 percent. voestalpine is implementing targeted measures to increase this figure further. Women at voestalpine work in a wide variety of technical areas, such as production, research, quality control, and automation.
