Patrick: Experiences from the SAP trainee program
"After graduating, I planned to go into either the IT or the automotive industry. In the voestalpine group-IT trainee program, I found both branches combined. That made the decision easy for me."
I started the SAP trainee program at voestalpine group-IT about a year ago. Before joining the voestalpine Group, I completed an apprenticeship as a financial assistant and then successfully graduated with a degree in automotive business.
In the trainee program, no two days are the same. Training courses, daily business and sometimes international business trips bring a lot of variety into my everyday life. This variety is what makes the program stand out. It also means I learn something new every day.
In addition to the technical content, I can also gain a lot of valuable experience in international exchanges with different countries, cultures and time zones.
Visits to the departments on site are particularly exciting for me. They help me develop a deeper understanding of voestalpine's business processes. I also really appreciate the exchange with customers and my colleagues.
After completing the trainee program, I would like to use my SAP knowledge in a targeted manner and take on more responsibility in the long term. For me, voestalpine group-IT is, in short, "one step ahead".
