I started my trainee program at the beginning of April 2022, just over a year ago. Prior to that, I completed my bachelor's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on manufacturing technology at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, during which time I gained experience with SAP as a user as a working student in the automotive sector. Since October 2021, I have been studying industrial engineering part-time at the International University of Applied Sciences (IU) and will most likely graduate in the fall of 2024.
I chose the trainee program at voestalpine group-IT for many different reasons. On the one hand, the IT industry is becoming increasingly important and with this training I have excellent prospects for the future; on the other hand, I have the opportunity to gain practical experience in working with SAP and at the same time still develop personally.
Thanks to the program, everyone has the opportunity to enter the industry even with very little IT experience and to develop in the best possible way with the help of various training courses. There is a wide range of training courses on offer, and in addition to technical training (e.g. SAP or project management), soft skills such as communication skills or dealing with conflicts can be learned and developed.
I also find the team-building events with all trainees particularly exciting. Here we have the opportunity to share our experiences.
After the end of my trainee program at voestalpine group-IT, I would like to continue to apply my theoretically acquired knowledge in practice. Especially that knowledge I am currently acquiring about the implementation of S/4 HANA. I would also like to gain experience in SAP consulting and continue my professional development, for example in project management.
